The foreign exchange market (forex) operates 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, from 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Sunday to 4:00 PM EST on Friday. This means that there is always a market open somewhere in the world, allowing traders to buy and sell currencies at any time.
However, the forex market is not equally active at all times. The most active trading hours are generally considered to be between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM EST, when the London and New York markets are both open. During these hours, there is a high level of liquidity and volatility, which makes it easier for traders to execute trades.
Outside of these peak trading hours, the forex market can be less active. However, there is still a significant amount of trading activity during these hours, particularly in the Asian and Pacific markets. This means that it is possible to trade forex at any time of day or night, although it may be more difficult to execute trades during off-peak hours.
